Rent Supplement Program
The rent supplement program has been funded by the Ontario government to assist persons in need. Rent supplements are provided monthly to top up tenants’ minimum rent contributions. Minimum rent contributions are dependent on a person’s income. Rent supplement payments are made to the landlords directly by CMHA and are portable, in that, they will follow an eligible person in need, should he/she have to move residences, and are not fixed to the unit.
The program is voluntary and space is limited.
