Marie/Sault Ste. Marie Housing Corporation.
Evidence suggests appropriate supportive housing and available services when the person is in need, provides a number of distinct advantages for those with Severe Mental Illness (SMI), including a reduction in hospital admissions, ambulance rides, psychiatric symptoms, substance use, and also offers improved housing tenure, better health and increased socialization as well as financial stability and a better quality of life.
