This 10 week program addresses the issues of anger resolution difficulties, teaching skills to improve communication and assertive techniques. If you or someone you know struggles with anger, the Anger Solutions Program is the SOLUTION!
Anger Solutions™ Program Overview
Module One: Understanding Feelings
The goal of the lesson is to become more aware of personal feelings and to expand one’s vocabulary of feeling words.
Module Two: Identify Your Anger Style
The goal of this lesson is to identify the participant’s most typical style of expressing anger, and to learn the benefits as well as the drawbacks of using that style.
Module Three: Learn How Anger Develops
The participant will develop an understanding of how anger develops and will leave with some tools to help safely and effectively express anger.
Module Four: Develop Assertiveness Skills
In this section the participant will learn what assertiveness is, and will be given ample opportunities to practice verbal assertiveness.
Module Five: Body Language
This section explores the concept of non-verbal communication and applies it to assertiveness training.
Module Six: Combining Verbal and Non-Verbal Assertiveness Skills
The goal of this lesson is to introduce opportunities like case scenarios and role plays in which participants can synthesize their newly acquired skills.
Module Seven: Listening Skills
The goal of this lesson is to encourage active listening skills and to understand the role of listening in anger resolution.
Module Eight: Forgiveness
The goal of this module is to explore the meaning of the work and the value of forgiveness in the anger resolution process.
Module Nine: Releasing Residual Anger
The goal of this session is to provide participants with tips and tools that they can use to help release the residual physical and emotional energy of anger.
Module Ten: Celebration and Wrap-up
This the time to answer any lingering questions, to wrap up material that may have been skipped in previous sections, and to provide an overview of the entire Anger Solutions process from start to finish.
All participants who complete the sessions will receive a completion certificate. There is a fee associated with this program.
